Abraquest 126.96.36.199 allows you to quarantine books
Abraquest 188.8.131.52 allows you to quarantine books when they are returned.
While we have been working on Abraquest version 3.0 for the past few months, we have released Abraquest this week to allow schools to quarantine books when they are returned. This is the same as the latest version you have, with the ability to quarantine books.
You set up the number of hours to quarantine in Base Data -> Configuration Settings:
When a book is returned you should put it into a separate private area of the library for the specified time period. If you try to issue it again within the set timeframe, you get a message:
Please note these features are so new you won't see them in the help file as yet.
I blogged about this at the start of this week in my School Libraries on a Post Covid-19 world blog.
While we are not in a position to be an authority on this, we envisage this could work if you implement a policy of no touch unless the child is borrowing. As always we would like to hear from you and we will try to share best practice on our Abraquest Covid-19 Best Practices page for the benefit of everyone.
We are going to get Abraquest 3.0 out soon and more features will then be added to that version, such as the ability to voluntarily quarantine books plus any other features any of our customers require to safely and efficiently operate the school library.
