Abraquest 2.6.0 is here!

Abraquest 2.6.0 is here! With this release, users are connected to the new Abraquest Online system, an online database that contains 2.5 million books, and which will help save a significant amount of time when setting up Abraquest for the first time and adding books from your library.

Abraquest Setup Wizard

The Abraquest Setup Wizard is available when logged in as sysadmin, from the Base Data menu:

Adding Books using Abraquest Online

Adding books in the latest version of Abraquest is just the same as adding books in previous versions (although it has been improved slightly in 2.5.0 onwards to reduce the number of keypresses and mouse clicks required).

In 2.6.0 you have a tick box on add books and also the books option - which is defaulted depending on if you are connected to the internet or not. If you are connected to the internet, and the book you are adding doesn't exist in your database, it will check over 2.5 million books in our online system with the sole aim to reduce typing to a minimum for you. This speeds up the initial setup of Abraquest by a vast amount.

Apart from a slight delay when checking online (and the page dimming for a second or two) the dialog is exactly the same.
